Mark Hansen is the co-author of ‘Chicken
Soup for the Soul’ book series. In the decade since it was first
published, the magic of Chicken Soup for the Soul has touched the hearts and minds of millions of readers from all

Mark is my motivational role model. His love for humanity and
his desire to make this world a better place to live is a stunning example of what someone can achieve when he sets his heart
to something. In an occasion, he shared with me his principles to lead a rewarding, successful life journey. Afterward, he
autographed one of his book to me, ‘Chicken Soup for the Soul: Living Your Dreams’. Let me tell you, this
is a wonderful book. It is full of little stories that tell the true meaning of life. With its powerful message of hope and
inspiration, it shows that dreams really do come true for those who dare to believe that any obstacle, no matter how daunting,
can be overcome with persistence, patience and belief in oneself.
Bill Philips is an author of the national best seller ‘Body for life’. He has helped hundreds of thousands
of people, from all walks of life, build leaner, stronger bodies and enjoy healthier, happier lives. Phillips has received
many honors for his work including the Make-A-Wish Foundation's highest award. He is a kind and generous person. He told me
his strategy to achieve a fulfilling and happy life and gave me a copy of his book ‘Eating for life’. There are
over a hundred GOOD recipes in here, including shrimp scampi, chicken noodle soup, filet mignon, chicken fajitas and SO much
more. There are even several healthy dessert recipes, including fruit crepes, cheesecake and walnut brownies! The recipes
are not only healthy, but extremely easy to prepare and very delicious!
Picture with Jerry Sanders shortly after he was elected the mayor of San Diego. The previous city administration was
tarnished with many problems and scandals. I hope that the new leadership has what it takes to fix the mess and
restore faith in the city government. Jerry Sanders had done an outstanding job when he was police chief. Perhaps I could
put this picture at the front door of my house. It may help improve security.
Congressman Bob Filner represents California's 51st Congressional District, one of the most ethnically diverse districts
in the nation. His district encompasses southern San Diego County and and all of Imperial County. He has been an active member
of our community for more than three decades. He taught history at San Diego State University for more than twenty years.
I know little about politics. However if you have a question about history, Congressman Bob Filner very likely can
give you a good answer.
Because of gravity, anything that goes up must come down eventually. However, there are at least two things
in California which do not follow this law of physics: housing cost and health care insurance cost. Senator Denis Ducheny
has been very much involved with issues for the essential needs of people in California. As an entrepreneur,
I am very much concerned with the ever increasing health care cost. Many people want a reform of our health care
infrastructure. However, as the senator put it: a reform necessitates a huge political will. You know, politics is complicated.
Instead of waiting for a reform. I better work hard to make more money to pay for all the mounting costs.
